We are four entrepreneurs and experienced Rails developers based in Amsterdam who love building things that actually matter and scale.
We believe small teams are magical for fast decisions and clean coding. No management layers. No inflated process. Just experienced people building products carefully, shipping them well and then listening to the users. Constantly!
We’re based in Amsterdam, but you won’t find us commuting to an office every day. We embrace the freedom to work remotely from anywhere. Regularly we spend a few days together somewhere quiet or explore a new city. Combining hard work with a lot of fun.
Before Pairio, we spent years building and running a European consumer marketplace that grew to serve hundreds of thousands of people every year.
What it taught us is that shipping v1 is the easy part. The craft is making something reliable enough that people come back, scalable enough that it keeps working when they do, and honest enough that you’re proud of it on day 2,000.
We have a core belief: working, shaping and building together is highly effective and super much fun. We love pairing for shaping, designing, programming, discussing, explaining, trouble shooting, etc. It’s how the best work gets done.
But the tools never felt quite right. Either too expensive, too clunky, or not focused enough on what really matters: a raiser sharp screen, smooth controls and instant calling.
So we built Pairio.
